House of the Fountain of Compassion exists to glorify God by bringing the compassion of Jesus Christ into broken lives everywhere through the sound counsel of God’s word and anointed worship.
Fountain of Compassion church was started on 8th February 1998 under the auspices of the Ministry of Reconciliation. It was started with 20 people and has now grown to more than 500 in the past years with multiple services every Sunday. Rev. C.P.P. Ratnam and Rev. R. Paul Moses are the Senior Pastors. Our Patron Late Rev. Dr. E.S. Christadoss was the first Managing Trustee. Initially, worship services were held under a thatched roof in an upper room. Then for a couple of years, the Lord opened a door in a hotel where the hall was taken on a rental basis. In the year 2001, the church moved to a bigger place, which was given to the service of God by one of the believers. But the worship services were held in this place facing a lot of hostility for about 8 ½ years. As an answer to continuous prayer, in 2009, almost 11 years after the founding of the church, God in all His faithfulness granted a place by the miraculous providence of God. It is here the worship services are done with freedom for the glory of God. In 2018, Prophetic Blessing Services (PBS) have been launched in Chennai according to the direction of the Lord, and the ‘dunamis’ power of God has been manifesting mighty breakthroughs in the lives of many––as healings in bodies and peace in broken families.
The Lord has given to Pastor Paul Moses the vision to equip the church in anointed worship and help people experience the manifest presence of God. Worship nights have been conducted every year in the past years. This effort has become a channel through which thousands of people have experienced heavenly worship, warfare prayer and passionate intercession. The live audio and video productions of these events are blessing many not only in this state and nation but also around the world.
The church has numerous avenues for the spiritual growth and maturity of believers, which includes Discipleship course, Bible Study, Fasting Prayers, Night Prayers and Chain Prayers. Carecells function in every area where believers are, in city and suburbs.
The Ministry hosts a weekly television programme of the ministry, "Idho Ungal Arpudham". The purpose of this television ministry is to bring God’s presence and His Rhema word to people everywhere. This program is a blessing to many in South India, Middle East and Europe. The Lord is doing mighty wonders through this telecast for the glory of His name.
The church also has a vibrant media ministry that produces the ‘Power Life Teaching’ given in the church. Through this media ministry, Audio CDs, VCDs and DVDs are released for the spiritually hungry people to be fed with God’s word. A monthly teaching magazine titled “Fountain of Compassion” is released. Many books on different practical issues pertaining to victorious Christian living have been written by Pastor Paul.
The Youth Fellowship of the Church is called as the Wonder Worker’s Fellowship. (wwf) This provides an avenue for young boys and girls to grow in Christ, learn to fight the present challenges and use their talents for God’s glory.
The Kids Ministry of the church is known by the name “Joshua Generation”. It is a great avenue of raising children in the ways of the Lord to become a generation that knows their God and do exploits.
The ministry also is greatly burdened about being the salt and light by empowering the helpless in the society. There are a number of ways that the church is involved in the community to be a blessing and showing Christ’s unconditional love. We invite you to be a part of it.
What we believe manifests our identity and destination. We believe: in the Triune God, the Creator of all. The name of Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation; the Holy Spirit in all His fullness is our guide; the Great commission is our mandate; we seek to recognize and honor the five-fold offices in ministry. The Bible is the ultimate authority for doctrine, correction and edification. True worship is as vital as our breath. Healing and deliverance are the believer’s birthright. We seek to stay connected with people in the same faith worldwide, to preach the good news to the nations––that Jesus Christ is alive and He is the answer!
